It's not magic. You need cables to connect it to either mics or the soundboard. Be prepared though, if you tape, it's less shows getting blasted in the pit, more shows hanging back at the soundboard...

Yes, the JB3 has a line in, so you should be fine. Basically, you only need to buy cables if you want to tape SBD, but would have to buy mics etc to tape AUD
